Calavera is Spanish for skull, and you would be hard pressed find a more iconic symbol for the Día de los Muertos – the Day of the Dead as the Mexicans celebrate this holiday. This positive spirit and the belief that a bridge between this world exists - what better way to try to capture it than on the face of a timekeeper? (Which raises another question: can a watch truly ever keep time...?)
This version of the chronograph comes in black with a colorful Calaveras pattern that illuminates the dial and dazzles at first sight. The counters: small seconds at 6 o'clock, 12-hour counter at 3 o'clock, 30-minute counter at 9 o'clock. Sword-shaped hands for hours and minutes, with photoluminescent SuperLumiNova® inserts. The seconds hand has a red tip that creates a mesmerizing effect as it sweeps over the outer track.
